Mita Mitta was one of many communities affected by the bushfire in 2003. Over the last two years, many visits have been made to held affected farmers with clearing up and re-building their fences.

The last working party will take place this coming Anzac week-end. There will be some work on the farms but the weekend will also be a chance to meet old friends and help celebrate with the community. Camping will be available free of charge at the Mitta Mitta caravan site for those people helping with the work and dinner on Saturday night will be provided. Volunteers’ insurance cover is provided by the Towong Shire Council.

More volunteers are needed. If you can help, please contact John Turbill on (03) 9359-9716 or Mobile 0409 236 826
