I've been collecting waypoints, places of interest & suggested campsites for a proposed trip. As collected these lat/longs have been entered onto the map in Oziexplorer. Doing a 'Waypoint List' printout- the points of course are not in order.
They appear to be in the order in which they have been entered- rather haphazardly. Can I edit the Waypoint List to put them into sequential order?? I have given the points the actual name of the position.
If possible- I would prefer to do it before I go to the Route Editor....

Signman,

Yes it's achievable. Open the waypoint List (Alt+w) and click the sort button. This will sort them in name order. Saving the waypoint file will retain the sort order.

Depending on the version of Ozi that you are using, you will also be able to sort by the description, by clicking on the description column heading.

Thanks Pluto...Yea I thought of that..but I really don't want to sort them into alphabetical order..rather the 'fitting'the odd ones into the order of the route..
Does this make sense???

I don't think there is any way of doing what you want without creating the route first. Once you create the route list, you can manually re order the waypoints as much as you like and a route list printout will come out in that order.

Signman,

I'm not overly familiar with OziExplorer as I prefer to leave that to mu husband, BUT I believe you can import waypoints from a text file. So in theory you could export all your waypoints to a program such as MS Word, sort them into your required order (say by latitude) and then import them back into OziExplorer.

Try renaming the way points #1, #2, etc in the order that you want them then press sort .
