Heading off shortly & after advice on the best way to travel Austraila? From Queensland north or south?

If you don't like the cold, and you are going to take a year to do it, go north, because by the time you get to
Perth, we should be in Spring. Reverse if you like the cold, and then the crappy wet season to follow...... quite simple really...lol!

Also
check the prevailing winds for this time of year. Not only do they make a difference fuel wise (especially when towing etc) but also camping etc.
Have a top trip.
