Opposite Lock in Adelaide has them 8234 5299 for about $380 for the single. They sell double ended ones but I think they could be about $600. They are made in USA by Thomas. Rus.

p.s. I bought one last year and tried to haggle over price and they said they don't make very much on them but they did throw in a set of Staun tyre deflaters.

Thanks for all your helpful advice Truckster,
I did try the archives first.
Plenty of opinions but no facts were found.

Gday Phil, can't help you with the info for the blue tonge but I've just picked up the Bushranger Max Air for $275 from TJM at the Brisbane 4wd Show, this is about $115 off RRP so if you have a show comming to your area soon it might pay to wait. In comparison ARB's show special was still full price.

Cheers
Al

Do a search on Thomas pumps in the US, that's who makes them. They are fan cooled an unlike the max air they have a continuous duty cycle. They are an excellent unit, mine runs every morning to top up my air tank, startin at approx 70psi and charging to 105psi. I got mine for $340 inc GST through my local Opposite Lock Store. I've never looked back. It pumps up the 4 31"10.5R15's from 16psi to 32psi in 2mintes a tyre and will do it all day, it doesn't slow down as it get's hotter as it's fan cooled.
Some of these other pumps will do a tyre in 2 mins or less then by the time you get to the 4th tyre it's taking 50% longer. If you have to do a mates tyres as well you need to stop for smoko have a beer and wait for it to cool down. I had one of those, well two actually, they both packed it in one leaving me stranded.

On the recent 4wd Monthly Camparo (June 2005)

Max-Air got the first place and the Oppsosite Lock (retailer of the Blue Tongue and
Twin Tongue units), elected not to be involved in the test.....

Thanks everyone,
Now I know who retails them I can get some info and then make up my mind.
It appears the Max Air is much more popular.
Thanks again

Only because the Max Air are dirt cheap. If you look at their performance specs, there is a big difference.
