What type of info do you want that can't be found on Google or in the archives. Or from Motorola?

Thats right... Your orig antenna comes off and a fitting goes in its place which the remote antenna screws onto...

I use mine all the time. It works very well.

There are a few other antennas other than the Motorola one that are designed to work in this frequency spectrum that would do just as well, similar to external GPS antennae. Contact Telstat or someone similar.

I use a ram mount to hold the phone and the coax is so thin I just run it across the dash (held in place by velcro tabs) and out the door rubber. The antenna sits on the top of the quarter panel between the snorkel and the bonnet. You'd have to look hard to even notice it's there.

What model phone is it? 9500 or 9505 (doesn't make much difference) You need an adapter that plugs into the phone where the antenna comes off and converts to an antenna plug. You can get them off the net for about USD45 and the same mob will probably sell you an/the antenna too.

Try: here or google "9500 magnetic antenna".

Hey Dave what model RAM mount are you using for the Sat phone ?

I saw another guy using one along time ago and can't seem to find the right model RAM mount.

I have the 9505 phone.

Hi John,

I am using a B120. Picture I reckon it'd probably do the 9505 just as well. The 9505 may just sit a little higher up to get the antenna base to rest on the top of the bracket but I don't know that there's that much difference in the length of the phones.

I got it from Johnny Appleseed at Wandin 4wd show in Vic.

I just mail ordered another kit off them to mount my meridian on the windscreen with their absolutely brilliant twist lock suction cup (B138 & 224 suction cup NOT B224 which is the non-twist lock suction cup).

They have shop fronts in Brissy and Melb, but they are pretty easy to deal with over the phone. Their RAM list is here.

PM Me if you want a digipic.

Dave
