Hi Guys posted the other month how I did not want to drive to lidcombe to have my waeco 60 ltr fridge fixed. Well I thought I had better post a follow up because all is well. Iwent to the Camping show at Rose Hill along and saw most of you there. Did not recognise, perhaps a free t shirt from explore oz should be sent to all members..ha ha

Anyway the guys at the waeco stand showed me how to do it my self and save pulling the drinks out of the fridge and travelling to a repair agent. Now all is good again and just got back from 5 days away. Wife is happy drinks are cold all is well.

Hi Pedro, yeah the clip on the lid failed and would not latch. They call this "the spring just inverted".

From the back of the catch just pit a scew driver gentlly under and pry off. Refit spring and push gently back into position and bod your uncle.

Works like new,

Good news....

I too, had a feel good story the other week from Waeco. They should be commended on their customer relations.

I think I've got a warped lid, haven't contacted them yet, are they still just posting you out a new one. I noticed on the weekend the light was still on with the lid closed, the ends seemed to have kicked up about 5mm, enough to not push the switch down. On another customer service win, my coleman hotwater packed it in, looks like it thought no water was flowing, 5 months old, took it back to Kmart, straight away bloke says go grab another off the shlef, no questions. I think it pays to shop at the big retail stores.

Nope the battery was fully charged, I think the flow sensor had failed as the burner would fire up for about a second then shutdown, it does the same thing when you turn it on but have no water flowing which it is meant to, but with a full flow of water it made no difference. But all's well now, got a new coleman and a new lid from Waeco, shipped one out no questions.
