Hello all,
I just received a satcall from Willem, he and Jude and their travelling companions are having a great time. They're in WA and are going to locate another campsite as the one they're in is surrounded by camel poop!..They've travelled along the CSR and they didn't see another person for 6 days, but have seen lots of camels.

They also came across the truck that the two guys and their dog perished beside a couple of weeks ago. He said the most so far they've paid for fuel is $2.20. He said they're picking up lots of toyota parts...[must be so the Nissan runs better....HAHAAHHHAH]

He sends his regards to everyone, and is going to ring again when he's in civilation.

cheers

Camel poop, He's should be used to that as he's always in the $hit. LOL.

He is making good time, good on him.
Wish him well from me Lyn next time he calls and remind him that if he needs to be snatched out of any bog he just happens to get stuck in he just has to call, I'm looking for any excuse to get out of town. LOL

I reckon if he calls for help there'll be a stampede. We all want an excuse to get out of town.

I'm looking forward to finding out details of the trip so far. Yes he does seem to be making good time, given that he's only maxing at 80k to save fuel. Sounds like the $2.20 was at the community near Well 33.

Hi Mrs Al

Did Willem say where he paid the $2.20. We are interested in diesel prices for our June/July trip to central Australia

Thanks Lyn

Its not that important. If I remember correctly he is in WA. We are mainly traveling to Birdsville, Camerons Corner, Poeppels Corner and the Simpson at this stage, no set in concrete plans after that, the price of diesel may have an influence on plans after that.
