Just wondering if any of the Nissan 4x4 Club members frequent this site.
I am looking to join a club in
Melbourne and after seeing their website at
http://www.nissan4x4vic.com/ I have been trying for a number of weeks unsuccessfully to make contact with the Secretary or President. Not sure whether the contact details on the website are no longer valid .... or if the club is active. Any info on the club would be appreciated by any of their members.
BTW, it amazes me when clubs / organisations put the effort into designing and hosting a webpage and then don't take advantage of the exposure the web can bring. Seems a waste to me...

Moggs I agree with you about the response to email enquiries, In this day and age it's super important, but sometimes clubs do struggle for people to handle all aspect of the club in a quick and efficient manner, maybe a good job for you to take on I'm sure they will be happy to accept your offer.

LOL, I have recently resigned as Secretary and Treasurer of the Pathfinders' Club of Australia which I helped set up. I am looking for a club for carefree family touring and camping trips - although I do like to muck in and help out when needed. I do however understand that at a lot of clubs many do benefit from the efforts of the few - there are many people out there that give up considerable personal / family time voluntarily to run clubs - they deserve more recognition than they get I reckon.
Yes re: responding to email queries. IMHO if you have a site then in today's world it is your public face. I understand sometimes club's struggle with the admin - that is why I have waited a few weeks. Hopefully some members will be able to give me the info and then I can go along to a meeting to chec it out.

Mate I am in the Toyota Landcrusier Club and our committee works super bloody hard to ensure the club works.
Same with the guys who run 4wd Vic.
I understand from my own personal circumstance (not a 4wd club) the effort involved.

its bullbleepthat we have a site, that either doesnt work, or the people you are emailing are on a trip maybe? THats happened before.

check out the meeting.
BTW, I thought the site looked ok (compared to many other club sites I have been looking at). Will be interested to go and have another look when you are done. I did note that the Calender and notice board were slightly dated LOL.
...and yes, maybe they are on a trip or something - didn't think of that. Anyway, not to worry - all sorted now.
