Follow up from Roachies report on 25th April re: belt tensioner problems. I bought a new unit yesterday in Canberra, costing us $421.00 We have queried this noise in the past whilst the vehicle was being serviced but it was just dismissed. Some places you just can't trust as we have learned! Hi Roachie, Annette,Matt, Jarrod, and Zack.

Was that for the complete kit with the pulley and mounting plate.
You know you can just buy the hydraulic piston assembly. I retailed one out last week for $201 bucks.

Yes it was for the complete kit. It was all on the way out, just a matter of time. Decided to fix it now rather than later, considering Simpson trip coming up in July.

G'day Pud and Barb,
Good to see you got the EO set-up sorted out..... no stopping you now!!!
We've lost Zak for a day or so......he's gone over to Pesty's place to play with their grandson, Cody.
You forgot to tell everyone that the Nissan place was gunna charge you for 90 minutes labour to change the belt-tensioner set-up.....and it only took you an hour and that was with a coffee break in between. Not bad are they??!!!!

I was trying to be nice about it but beggar it, they are just sharks. Well most of them. The Canberra mobs are anyway, at least the guy in Young is going to try and deal with head office to get our money reimbursed. Bet it's quiet without little cracker. Yeah, no stopping me now on this thing, big time waster isn't it.
Cheers for now, Barb.

G'day Barb,
This is the site where Annette spends a lot of time talking to Pesty and a lot of other people with wwaaaayyyyyy too much time on their hands. Most of them own Toyotas, so (unlike us Nissan owners) don't have to spend so much time under the bonnet and therefore they find themselves bored and seeking company from the net. I get onto it too sometimes, but only on those few occasions when there is nothing needing to be fixed on the Patrol. hahahaha
BTW, Annette sent you this suggestion about logging on to that site, I think from memory that there is a bit of fiddling required to set yourself up as an MSN member with user name/password etc.
