Were any 60 series produced in Aussie with the 3B diesel?
What sort of fuel ecomomy can you expect with these engines, I hear they are a bit on the thirsty side?

cheers

I stand corrected, however to my knowledge the 60 series came out with two engines, 2h & 12ht. Both were 6 cylinder diesels, the latter a turbo model. There are some vehicles in Australia that are called grey imports, these were fitted with the 3b diesels, however they were never destined for release in this country.Ie: fully imported.

Summing up these engines were great for the smaller, lighter vehicles eg: bj42, being quite economical on fuel. I can only imagine the extra weight of the 60 would then change the dynamics of its fuel efficiency.

Stick with the local product and you cant go wrong!

Son has just picked up the gearbox and clutch, PTO winch and power steering off one of these imports to fit to his bigfoot BJ42. Just what he needed. Brother-in-law who it got it off is now uprgrading the running gear to something more suitable in the 60.
