Pajero suspension

getting new
suspension on the back of my 97 pajero.
dont know whether to go springs or airbags.i tow a 13foot windsor rapid and do a fair bit of offroad work.has anybody tried both if so which is best.

Maybe both. No good going for springs suited purely for when the van's in tow. That could loosen your fillings at other times.
Depends on the set-up but how about a decent set of normal load springs if the old ones are shagged and air bags for extra support (lift and separation :-D) when you have the van on board.
I've not used air bags for a number of years. Had some Polyair jobbies a while back and they were certainly worth the money. They had their share of problems back then, but as I understand it, these have been ironed out.
Plus there appears to be a few brands to choose from now.

Hi Mick,Im getting some Polyairs on my Pajero within the next fortnight.Been recommended by my top mech,we also tow an 1100kg van.He's fitted quite a few now and highly praises them.Will let you know how they are if you havent already got them by 2 weeks.Cheers
