Read your notes & viewd pics with interest. Seems Dec/Jan in OZ even on the mainland is not always the best time for camping due to weather changes, anyway thanks for a great read, hope to do something similar one day!

It certainly was a great read. Brought back some memories of our trip from the same time.

The EO sticker did make it on to the back of my Rodeo but I had to wait a few days for it stop stop raining!

I think they forgot to mention the 24/7 howling winds. My wife slept in the car one night as the wind at New Norfolk was blowing the dome tent over and was noisy as hell. The locals were always saying how unseasonal it was.

As for Jan/Dec not being the best for camping in Tas..........it may be rainy and windy but at least it didn't snow TOO often LOL.
