1986 4Runner repaint.

I was thinking about repainting my 4 runner. The main reason is it has plenty of dints and scratches as well as what looks like pitting from it being parked under a eucalypt by previouse owner. I would touch it up, but the paint code on the chassis ID plate doesn't match what i get made up by the auto detailers. I was wondering if any one ofyou have gone this far, and if i'm looking at a fair bit of trouble
