Big Kidz (Andrew & Jen)
Hi everyone
Well we are getting close to leaving on our
Kimberley trip. Not sure that it is a good idea to leave on Friday 13th - but I can't wait any longer. Should be an awesome time with the advice and hints and people that we have chatted to about the trip. To all our friends - "Thanks for you advice and encouragement and tough luck that you have to stay
home and work!" I am sure the eight weeks will fly.
We are travelling up through South Oz to
Alice Springs and then along the Tanami to
Halls Creek, up t0
Kununurra and along the GRR and then to the
Dampier Peninsula and back to
Broome. If you see our camper - say gidday though if it is after July 9 it will be my parents in the car/camper - you can talk to them though they might not know how to work the radio!! We are flying
home from
Broome.
Look forward to meeting people on the road. Taking my EO
membership card this time... forgot it last time and Wolfie tried to charge me for coffee!!
Cheers to you all ....keep working hard.
Andrew and Jen.
PS - If you look at our Rig
pic you might be able to pick out some characteristic features that will help you recognize our camper on the road.

Hi Andrew and Jen,
Have a good one. It is such a magic part of the State. We spent 3 weeks on and about the GRR last year, and the balance of out 12 weeks checking out other
places in the
Kimberley, and have lost count of the
places we intend to see/revisit next time.
Happy camping,
Mike and Jan.

Andrew & Jen,
Trip sounds good, would like to hop on at 3-Ways, if I had the time, and sit on the roof rack. Busy here, but the weather is glorious.
Trust that the weather is good for you, and the
Kimberley is at it's charismatic best. Take plenty of digi camera batteries, you'll need them.
Safe travelling, and all the best,
Regards,
Bob & Linda.

Andrew and Jen
We are a little ahead of you having came up along the
Oodnadatta Track,
Dalhousie Springs, Mt Dare, finke, Lamberts Centre of Australia and
Alice Springs. You should find the Tanami no problem at the moment, if you remember to reduce tyre pressure and slow down, we came thru a few days ago towing our van, road is a little rough around 100km either side of Yendumu, dont know how much diesel is but for an indication ULP fuel is $1.59 at Tilmouth
well, $1.85 at Yeundamu,$1.80 at Rabbit Flat, $2.00 at Bililuna and $1.35
Halls Creek. Niced
camp spot in old
gravel pit opposite Mt Doreen
Ruins, another at old
Gravel Pit 100km west of Rabbit Flat on north side of road, and great camping by the water holes at
Sturt Creek near Bililuna and
nice camping spot at Wolfe Creek Crater. Road into
the crater is alittle rough but not as bad as the road to Mt Dare etc. We leave
Halls Creek tomorrow heading to Spring Creek/Turkey Ck and the Bungle Bungles before a week at
Kununurra and
Wyndham then down the GRR and into
Broome around 10 July. So you will most likely pass us on your way thru to
Broome. Enjoy.
