Anyone know about Uniden UHO56 handheld UHF radios? Are they still in production or discontinued?
I'm looking for high powered (5 watt) UHF handheld to go with the low powered (0.5 watt) Uniden handheld that I already have. It was a gift a few years ago and I've never used it. Now I need 2 UHF radios and I'm not
well up on UHF etc.

UH056
Handheld 5w 40 chan UHF tranceiver
Clip-on NiCad, user prog scan, rubber antenna.
$439 + GST
On the radio, you may have a button for HI/LO
If you set it to low, you generally drop it to 2W, but on High it remains at the 5W.
Chances are you will have the same on the little one too- you may have to hold the button down for a few seconds though.

I got one. great unit, got off ebay for $120 few yrs back.. Got a new battery for it now, and its good as new.
I was told they were discontinued, but according to Unidens website they are still around for $469.. Gee, I did get a bargain!
They arent pocket sized though.
