Jenny and I are off to Bali for two weeks from Saturday.

Much as we love this great land we live in (and spend copious amounts of time enjoying it in our camper), we also love experiencing different countries and cultures. It also makes us feel good to contribute something to a very poor race of people who have done nothing wrong other than to have born in a poor country.

Talk to you all in two weeks.

Cheers,

Jim.

Jimbo,
Hope you have a great trip. A word to the wise.............don't leave your high tensile, 5 metre drag chain at home; wrap it around all your baggage and put the biggest bloody padlock on it that you can find.......we don't want to hear about you being set-up by some mongrel in the baggage handling area at the airport and all the drama that goes with that.
You wouldn't get me going overseas if the phriggin tickets were free ......
Cheers
Roachie

Thanks Bill,

It's not all that bad travelling overseas. They love us over there, they just hate crims and with good reason, and so do I.

Cheers,

Jim.

Hi Jimbo,
Just got back from Bali myself a week ago and still a great place for a holiday. The poor people are so dependant on tourism and all this negative publicity is not doing them any good.Bali still hasn't recovered since the bombing and every time it picks up a bit there is another set back.Still a great place for a holiday though and incredibly good value.I am sure you will thoroughly enjoy it.
Cheers Mark

Agree Mark,

Great value, wonderful people. None of them have a chip on their shoulder. Buggered if I could be so happy, earning such crappy money, living in relative poverty and still being happy.

Perhaps they understand something we don't.

Cheers,

Jim.

Jimbo, it would depend where it was, I think I may be THE hand on deck here as two normal hands away. That is why I reckon we may make the last weekend in the High Country in May, then get away in July. Try Ruth's Caravan Park in the dry country, where I know the hospitality is great. Not that yours isn't ;-)

Must be an incredibly rich bug-er to be able to afford the air freight for the teracan+camper trailer ,lol ,, dont forget to get the swmbo to empty the c/t pantry of any "herbs" as Bali just loves people who have herbs to hang around for a loooooooooong time ,would lol if not deadly serious.

Now,

The Jerry Can and camper in Bali. That's an idea. I could stay for a year on a month's wages. Petrol 30 cents a litre, food next to nothing, but I'd have to buy a genny and and air conditioner.

Cheers,

Jim.

Jimbob,

Can't wate to see the jerrycan after you return, I'm sure you'll get some wonderful ornaments and aftermarket ideas from the local wagons, and some novel driving techniques.:-)

Happy & Safe travels mate...Browny
