bourke to birdsville

Thanku both Craig & Ruth for your replies-we are quite experienced off-road travellers but normally we have done so with off-road camper-this will be our 1st with van-been to golf before(not this route),up to the cape(via telegraph line),towed normal poptop van up centre & down west coast,across nullabor,using a tent to go off roading at various places-we are towing with a toyota landcruiser 80 series,fitted with air bags,snorkel,special shield for back window-van is a viscount newport new generation,inderpendent suspension-tyres interchangeable car & van-will be travelling with a group,two of us towing off road vans,the rest with off road campers-planning to arrive in birdsville wed before races--hope to meet u ruth--u dont remember a mad swiss couple called danielle & michel from last year(sept i think)-regards gertie
