I have also heard the hilux automatics 2003-2004 are being recalled, something about a new transfer case and the manuals need something doing to them to.

Took them a while to recognise it and do a recall.
A few years back, there were issues with some 90 series Prados loosing a wheel due to a ball joint letting go.
The most public one was when 2Day FM was using Prados for their Black Thunders, and one of them lost a front wheel. I think it was on
Sydney's M4. They talked about it all day on the radio and had listeners calling in about it saying how the driver wasn't looking too happy.
