Nissan state that all new Patrol wagons come with Bullbar towbar and bonnet protector plus huge factory bonuses on 2004 built Patrols. Has anyone just got a new Patrol wagon 04 built since the drive for a million sale started and what are the extra bonuses they got.

Hi crowie, My patrol is 4 and a bit yrs old now but they were saying the same ads back then. Mine come with b/bar d/lights t/bar plus they threw in mats light protectors bonnet shield paint protection and rust proofing plus tint. BUT my honest opinion is they give you nothing for nothing. If you want a patrol then find the dealer that gives you more for the money you intend to spend ie: do you want d/lights t/bar ect. if not then find a dealer to give you a better deal without these products included. Just my opinion
Regards Trevor.
ps happy hunting and demand or you will not receive.

I have a 05 patrol (March 05). I got it through a lease company. Prior to picking up the vehicle Nissan were running their great summer get away (bull bar, lights) deal on TV but not showing you the fine print (04 models only). I asked the lease company if I could get the package, they inturn asked the Nissan dealer who said yes. When I went to pick up the vehicle the bits where not fitted. The dealer asked me if I was prepared to buy the bits separately or settle for a 04 model. I said no. They questioned who said yes to the deal. After 5 minutes on the phone between the lease company and the dealer the dealer lost the argument and fitted the bits. Some times one does get something for nothing considering I still got the fleet discount and my GST back.

I had a similar experience with my 2002 leased Patrol but not as good a outcome, all the extras were added back onto the final price but i ordered 3rd party accessories, unfortunately the vehicle came with standard Nissan gear on it, 3 1/2 years later and it's still not sorted, just shows you have be tough at the time and not try to sort it out afterwards.
Nissan are not interested as it is up to the dealers to outfit the vehicle and they take no responsibility for what deals are made between the dealer and the buyer

Hi Crow, My Patrol has just turned 2, I also bought with the free bullbar etc sale on but I found that ones ability to negotiate a good deal and knowing what the "real" as opposed to sticker prices are far outweigh any "special sale" discount or extras.

Good point but how do you get to know the real prices? I'm buying new 100 Series TD auto in July/Aug. It would help to know best price (real price). Can you give me any guidance on this?

Thanks

Try a car broker EV.
Can recommend a great one in Southern Highlands NSW who saved me heaps on a new Patrol. Don't think I'm allowed to post details here so send me a message and I'll give you details if you want...

I see most of the new patrol models have 17" alloys as standard. Seems a bit strange. Can you opt for 16" rims without any mdoification if you want ?
