Next year I plan on doing the Canning Stock route but me 80 Series is Duel Fuel and I know I ain't got no hope in hell getting LPG in remote pasts of Australia. I was wondering if it was worth my time finding an old LPG tank (similar to mine) and have it changed to hold ULP. It should be good for 100Ltr and installation might be "easy" because the brackets will be the same. However I will have to block off all tubes to stop contamination. Thanks to all those who reply.

Matho,

I don't think anyone would do such a thing. The tanks are so different. The filler, the sender unit has to float, a fuel pump would have to be set up in the tank, expansion chambers fitted, is it worth it.

A after market tank will hold 170/180lt and will fit where the gas tank is now. The spear wheel is already moved so a lot of the expense has been already paid for.
