Hi All
Heading down to Sunset National Park in june Longweek end.
Entering from Loxton end and camping near the Shearers Quarters.
Question
Has anyone been there recently and which are the more interesting challenging tracks.
Thanks in advance
Trevor

Trevor, a load of us camped there the long weekend in March. I think there's a report in the
trips and gatherings section, which you can find by clicking the members tab. I'm sure the someone else might let you know about tracks, the ones we went on were pretty easy, apart from the dust.
cheers
Lyn

I was there recently at the aforementioned get-to-gether, there were a few moderately interesting sections on the southern end of the
Border Track before you get top Pinarroo, other than that the tracks were very easy.
I spent last weekend in the
Big Desert area, quite a few challenging sand hills to be had in there, might be a bit far away for you though. if you are interested let me know and I'll give more info.

Challenging tracks? LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!
All the ones we went on were 4 lanes wide, and smooth as a babies arse. You will be bleep tered for life if you think there is any 4wding to be had anywhere near the shearers 1/4s to
pink lakes.

Bruce I don't think you got to the lower end of the
Border Track where PPat is talking. I actually found a track on the map that hadn't had traffic much in recent years, but there was another that really jolted the gear in our ute, falling into a deep hole didn't do much good on the rear axle.

Hi Trevor
Just returned from 2 weeks up there had a great time
we didn't have any problems towed a camper through most of the area
with right tyre pressures we found it pretty easy did speak to one couple in a troopy who got stuck on the sunset track and had to winch but I suspect he didn't use the right tyre pressures
Extremely dusty though
Have a great time
Barry.

Thanks Barry
I've got the pump and I like to run the tyres a bit down of road any way so hopefully I wont get stuck.
Regards
Trevor

border track from
Renmark to
Pinnaroo.

just beside the shearers quarters in an old
dam.
it seems to be about the hardest part of the area.
one guy in a paj lost his front wheel.
