Condition of Geraldton Bore

Was fine in 2001, but bore only about 50 mm diameter. Someone had put a small tin on a string and you could draw up 100 mm at a time. Would need to take a pump and say garden hose to draw it up - not very deep, maybe 3 metres.

Please don't rely on Geraldton Bore for great quantities of water. The bore lining is probably 150mm and you can only get a jam tin down and out.

When I was there 2003, the jam tin on the end of the rope someone had kindly left behind disappeared when someones dodgy knot let loose! Quality of water - unknown but in an emergency, any water (with boiling) will be better than none!
