Kicking off into Toolangi and Black Range state forest for the weekend with about 20 people and a lot of cars, I have the trip organised. We would like to get the cars wet, the map is unhelpful in locating water crossings, can anyone who has experiance in these parts tell me if (a) there is any water (b) interesting places to see as some of the attendees dont get to see this kind of stuff often and i want to show all the fun stuff. THanks. BTW the basic itinery is as follows

Camping at camp sites on murrindindi road near suspension bridge
on sat heading up to railway tunnel near yea
then on to the falls directly approx 5km below the scrubby creek falls
then murrindindi cascades
dindi log river road (looks like water could be there to play in)
the end will be at the acheron valley lookout

any ammendments will be more than welcome, thanks angain.

Phantom,
There are some muddy bog holes near the end of Two Hills Rd (which comes off the Melba Hwy) vere left along marginal rd and then left again down martins track At the end of martins you will find some mud. Nothing to serious about these tracks.
Have fun.
If more info is needed just ask
Phil

No real water anywhere.

If your doing Rocky Track, Vic Range, and the Steps, 10 cars you will be 2 days in doing it..
we had a night run, and 6-8 cars, and the last cars got finished at dawn.
