Heidi gave me this book a couple of days ago and it is simply brilliant!

Im not a big reader and I tend to learn stuff "on the fly" (verbally) in a one on one enviroment BUT this book is just "talking" to me.

It's available here from EO and there blurb is as follows...
!MPG:6!
"A comprehensive guide for 4WD's and others who Navigate. Includes how GPS works, GPS and Computers, Maps, Grids and Datums, Moving Maps, GPS Equipment, Vehicle Set up, Using GPS and GPS Resources. Written for both novice and experienced GPS users with a focus on Technology and mapping available in Australia."

NOVICE? I had zero understanding of GPS but after reading just 20 odd pages of this book, I've got a fairly good handle on it already.

It's easy to understand, well written and at $25 bucks is a must.

Ps. I feel like a book critic. LOL. Im not.

I make no money out of sales unless EO are willing to cut me in, but I doubt that. hahahaha

Just get the book.

.. and it may further please people to know that the author, Robert Pepper, is a keen ExplorOz site user and he has even contributed to this site by submitting one of the published Trek Notes.

Dunno if you've read it David, but has got to be the most well laid out way to explain complicated stuff I've ever seen.

Put's the '... for Dummies' and 'Idiots Guide to...' series' to shame.

A mate of mine is a specialist Doctor in ... Threoretical Condensed Matter Physics, (a very smart bloke indeed). But Shh don't tell him this, he can't explain what he does to me for s!it. lol.

A brilliant mind but ... well...

Robert Peper has married Technical/Practical GPS information and basic communication together using a formular that is lacking in todays Information Age.

I don't know exactly how many years it would of taken him to accuire his vast knowledge but to then be able to articulate it as well AND then let us have it for a tiny tweny five bucks.

This IS an ad now. lol.

Was not meant to be.

Just go out and get it!

NO WAIT!! Theres more!

It's available here on EO. Get you credit card out and click on the shop tab at the top of the page and order it.

The first 300 orders will recieve a free* ExplorOz sticker with their order.

LMAO.

*might not be free
