Just out of interest.
Can a diesel engine be bored out to a larger capacity like is done with petrol engines from time to time?
I'm really just curious and have no intention of doing so, but I wondered if, say, a 2.8ltr Patrol 6 can be upgraded to a 3.5 or so, and would there be any benefit?
Cheers
Oskar

You can buy oversize piston kits for diesels just like petrols. You can buy bigger cams, extractors, fuel pumps etc... Turbo and dyno tune is the esiest way to get more out of them though.
