Hi Folks
Here is some thing new, a company has sey up at Auckland International Airport. They will shrink wrap your baggage for you.
Not a bad idea I think.

That is fine for some countries but to go to the USA you must have bags that can be opened. If they are locked they will be broken into by security people once the bags have been checked in.

They leave a courtesy note in the bag and usually steel your camera in the process.

Whats worse is the airline assumes no responsibility of damage or missing items as it is out of their controll once the bags go through the hole in the wall.

I have just got back after 4 weeks in the States and their systems are changing in a lot of the airports.
Some of them you now stay with your bags until they pass thru the scan check, if they whant them opened they will ask you to do it, then you may relock them .

My reality is Kiwi Ray that it's just not safe to travel abroad at the moment.

It will change given time.

But not at the moment.
