I have contacted Poron Australia and have been able to arrange a special deal for anyone who is interested in one of their CM60 camera systems.

Details of this system has been posted on here several times in recent weeks, Post No 23389 being the most recent with photos.

If we get 5 or more takers I can get the system for $400.00 each including GST.
This represents about a 10 to 20 percent discount (Depending on store) over what they are being sold around the traps for.
They are very easy to install by anyone with a basic auto elec knowledge.

If you are interested in one then please Member Message me with your email details or list your email details on this thread and I will contact you directly.

If you are in Melbourne then you can arrange to pick them up from me, If you are interstate then you would obviously have a small extra postage/courier cost from Melb to where ever you are.

I am not making anything out of this deal, its just I want one and I reckon so would others out there.

How much more for a bigger monitor John so It can be a bit more flexible? I guess just make up my own so I can use it on a DVD too.

Don't know if a bigger monitor is available John, 5.6" is what the web site says is standard for their model range.
I just concentrated on the CM60 deal as a few on here already have fitted them and say they are the ducks guts , they also have the infrared system inbuilt for night use.

Someone else on here posted that the resolution was not very good when used for mapping purposes, not sure what thread.

I was offered the CM60 for $460.00 for a one off and $390.00 for 5 or more, I have added $10.00 per unit to get them to Melb hence the $400.00 price.

Did not think it would be to hard to get 4 others plus myself to take one and save us all a few bucks.

Not trying to change your mind, but just for comparison, the Jaycar system that I installed and the photos are on the same post or in my member gallery:

If you buy 4 or more, price drops to
$329 for the in-dash 7" screen QM3753, plus
$127 for the waterproof reversing camera ( QC3452) plus
a power/ video lead (under $30).

Cheers

Yeah Phil that camera has no infrared capability for night use.
Also I would think more difficult to mount for most of us, allowing for enough downward angle to see as close to the rear bumper as you can.

Good point John. I find you can see a little of whats behind at night because of the vehicle's reversing lights, but it is a bit dim.

I think that camera is commonly mounted into the rear bumper on normal vehicles.

Hope the group buy works out. Good on you for organising it.

Cheers
Phil

If we can get 10 bodies interested I might be able to get the price down a bit more.

Bruce you must be feeling better if your mind is on that subject.

Sorry not PORN camera, but if you would like to purchase a video of my lily white backside in action, then I'm sure it could be arranged.
Just email me your credit card details. LOL.

I have just fitted one in the Patrol. The TV I purchased on eBay for $140 from hong Kong and I also brought 2 cameras (one for the van) from http://www.brashimports.com.au/ for $55.00 each.

Bit of mucking around adapting cables etc but ull up for about $320 including cables I can monitor the rear of the truck and press a button for the rear of the van.

Works for me

G'day John,
Sounds like a plan to me....please include me in your numbers; after all I can't have Wayne having something on his troopy that i haven't got!!!

Even Annette reckons it'd be okay to spend this money on the Patrol !!!

I'll send you a member message with my email details.

Cheers

Thanks Roachie, I have dropped you an email.

I think its a good idea if anybody out there is contemplating getting a new gadget then they would probably find a few others on here would also be interested and if they just ask the supplier about a deal for a quantity then maybe we can all save a few dollars.

Cheers
