G'day,
If either of you find yourselves taking a detour via the
Yorke Peninsula (about 180 klm south of Pt
Augusta), it'd be great to meet you. My mobile is 0414 890 148.
Have a safe trip one and all.
Cheers
Roachie

Honestly, you boys! Bet you don't turn up in
Birdsville for the EO Gathering - NAKED! Bet you end up that way if Willem brings the White Lightning!! LOL (Who's MOSES,
John?)

Ruth, I think that's one gathering I'm staying away from. Don't like the sound of Willems white lightning, and the spectre of Birdville full of naked men just doesn't do much for me. Rather a strange name for that town. There are so few birds in
Birdsville....I've met the fella from
Augathella and I know all the charlies are in
Charleville....but met very few birds in
Birdsville...a few bird brains at the races :)))))))

Hiya Ruthie, nice to see you here. Moses is flashing eyes at you below. Was christened last weekend by Kir, the lovely partner of Crazie, from his ability to part the water in the puddles ahead so the followers didn't get wet feet. You will read about the High Country trip in the members trip reports. A magnificent report by Moggs where he captured the spirit of the weekend so
well.
On the nakedness, I don't think Willie's Wit Lit would have that affect on me, but for all that....... promises, promises. LOL
I have included Moses to make sure my posts are noticed to be separate from another poster who calls himself Member -
John R (VIC) - totally unrelated to me I assure you and an original name too. Drives a Landie so probaly is naked.
Non-member Nick R with his High Country cattle post could be related though..

Julie,
can I recommend the road from
Morgan to
Burra. It cuts off quite a bit of distance.
Burra is certainly worth a visit, as is
Clare (40 km away).

Thanks for you good wishes - happy travelling to you all too - Marion where do you stay in
Mildura - we will be at the Buronga Riverside Park - just over the river - friends own it - really nice casual place -very relaxed - but spotlessly clean - can recommend it highly. And yes, we do go via
Burra - always like to use alternate roads to city roads.
happy travels.

Your cheapest stop for fuel is at the SAFF fuel outlet at
Paringa then next one at
Mambray Creek just before
Port Augusta. There is a good
bakery at
Morgan about half a k past the
Burra turnoff and a fantastic one at
Wirrabara. It is a nice drive that wayalthough the quickest way is via
Spalding,
Crystal Brook,
Port Pirie etc.
If you are driving through
Paringa on Sunday morning around 8.30am (SAtime) we will be in a convoy heading up to Murtho. Drive a 100 series Burgandy colour
