G'Day Donkey,
After living in
Alice Springs for a long time the only place I would store my car would be inside one of those "you store it"
places. Where it is totally secure and out of site. You can hire them short term I think, if the car has any valuables in it at all then i would definately not leave it anywhere in the open. There is also a problem with kids stealing petrol from cars, one car yard now even leaves a can of fuel out each night so they will stop snapping of petrol caps!!! Leaving your car out side the
police station would be a bad idea. as this is were there is a large concentration of "locals" all the time.
Just a thought, i can get you a numberfor one of the storage
places in Alice if you want.
Timbo.

Thanks for that Tim, I will from that then, simply leave it at one of the caravan parks, they all charge around $6 a night to store while I am up North more, thanks for your effort and offer
