Good evening folks, A small group of us are doing the Simpson desert from Birdsville then up the old Ghan to Chambers, rainbow then Alice. on the way back down we are wanting to go through Finke Gorge N/P. Now if there has been rain i've been told by one who got as far as Bogy hole some years ago and couldn't see iether the entry in or out that they turned around as the xing was to wide and they decided not to get there feet wet.So other than walking the xing if needed which we will flip a coin to see who gets wet, is there any particular markings, trees post etc etc to line up from one side to the other. And dose anyone know how deep the xing can actually get when flooded? I've only seen two pic's of boggy hole one empty and one damed wide. Any info on this xing and the Finke Gorge in general that will make the trip a better trip would be greatefully appreciated.
Thanks in advance Steve West.
