I'm about to update to a new 05 Hilux SR 4WD and I'm after some wheel/tyre advice. Does anyone know the max tyre size that will fit this model without having to opt for wheel arch flares and what wheel offset is required. I intend on raising the suspension an inch or two via aftermarket springs and shocks. My last HiLux had 265/75R16 tyres on 16 x 7 Prado rims which fit perfectly without the need for flares. This combo would be big enough but I don"t know if they'll fit the new Lux...

Flares are need with almost any tyre increase ( thats if it has to be legal ) I run 31/10.5 BFG's on the new lux with navara offset rims but they still are wider than the wheel arch. Will be going for flares to stop the rocks.

Thanks for the info Hound. What size are your rims and do you know exactly what the offset measurement is? How's your clearance especially in behind the tyre to the front suspension? Cheers.
