Thinking of going to Cape York next year. What time would you recommend (options are June or mid September to mid October).

Also, any suggestions of things that are must see while we are there and recommended routes would be greatly appreciated.

reccomend the OTL track as it is very scenic, challenging in parts and puts the "A" into adventure

Hi Willo,

I did CY in June (celebrated my birthday camped on the banks of the Wenlock R). Nice time of year...just the right amount of water around, track not too chopped up and everything still fresh from it's annual wet season cleansing (have heard it can get a bit grotty in some areas late in the season after pretty intense tourist traffic).

Regards, Melissa
