Wish we were out on the claypan at Oodanadatta partying with you - hope it's wet over there also. Have a great birthday.
(By the way, the new Hospital is absolutely fabulous - stunning, beautiful, gorgeous and heaps of room - not much equipment yet. Wait until you see it!).

Hey Roachie, hoping to go south around Melbourne Cup time - we'll be in Birdsville this summer so could disappear down your way for a few days at a time. Hopefully, the flowers will be magic as.

Kevin, you could have at least posted a photo of the claypan (any claypan would do), instead of those old rocks!

Ruth - unlike the two big "rocks" put up by Reg Sprigg, all of which were sourced from the Diamantina and fair enough, too, we carried the specially-selected rocks for the little CGG cairn in the middle from Arkaroola and Dalhousie as well as from the river - plus we added some stones we picked up on the Eyre Creek when we were coming through, so there's some very different rocks with quite widespread backgrounds represented in that diminutive pile. You know the CGG blokes reckon its the biggest thing in Birdsville, but we would say that, wouldn't we?
