We're heading off soon on an extended trip to NW WA and remote Qld/NT. Can anyone suggest where we can buy supplies of the Thetford
toilet chemicals for our caravan, or should we stock up bigtime before we go?
Thanks all
Bob

Bob,
Given you use about 50 ml per tank, a 1 litre bottle will give you about 20 loads.
I'd pack enough bottles to last the trip. 5 x 1 litre bottles will give you 100 loads of the dunny. A dozen will give you 240 etc. They don't take up much space and I would suggest if you ring around a few camping stores asking for prices on 6 or more bottles you'd get a fairly handsome discount.
Just keep your fibre intake reasonable LOL.
Cheers,
Jim.

Having a laugh with you Jimbo, with 100 loads of the dunny. Have you calculated the dumps? I just calculated the 4kgs excess weight I didn't think I needed to carry in the ute. LOL I would just get a litre at a time and pay the opportunity and transport cost along the way, allowing to do business with regional communities.
Sorry I won't make your la Porchetta night. Have to refill the porta-potti on the way.

Bob
Broome,
Kununurra,
Katherine,
Mount Isa etc all have pretty good camping stores and would all stock your chemical requirements. There wouldn't be a big need to overstock before you left unless of course you have a severe case of gastro.
Cheers

Would suggest you all consider this stuff-
"BioMagic".
It's absolutely enviromentally friendly and actually HELPS septic tanks work.
I got onto it at the caravan show and would now never go back to the other stuff.
They are on 1800 888 205 and www.biomagic.com.au
Cheers
