Does anyone have info on Toyo Tyres ? I am lead to beleive from my local tyre supplier that they are "Top of the Range" & manufactured in Japan. He is having a run out sale of them to make way for a redesigned tread pattern & offering them to me at $189 each. The size is 265/75R16 & will go onto my GU Patrol.

Hi Cam
My son runs Toyo MT on his hilux and they have been great, good wear for a MT and handles off road well plus quite good on road. He has got 60000 out of them and they are going strong

Cam, At that price I'd buy all his stock. We've had a good run out of Toyo, some 750x16's that we couldn't wearout. Regards...

Bob. My thoughts exactly. I've been running two Toyo's on my Patrol at the moment (rear wheels) & were put on as emergencies whilst travelling the Gibb River Road earlier in the year. Although I havent given them a good bashing yet they seem to be doing the job. These are the smaller 265/70's by the way.

Cam, Envy your trip on Gibb River Rd, suppose we'll get there one day, by that time it'll be all bitumen. Re tyres, we are happy to pay $250 ea. for BFG A/T's(265/75R16) in the Isa, so reckon you're on a bargain, even if they aren't "top of the range", as suggested. catch you later...

Cam .... Which Toyo's are you asking about? I'm curious about the Open Country All Terrain (OPAT).

I used to have Toyo's on an old VK Commodore and they were by far the best tyre I had on a normal car. But I'd like to know of other's offroad experiences with the Toyo A/T.
