We did 12698km from
home to the end of the first leg of our holiday.
Of this distance we did about 2000km in some mode of 4x4.
I would say that gravel roads constituted 75% of our journey..
Used 1810 litres of diesel at an estimated average cost of $1.40lt = $2534
Roughly 7km/l or 14.2l/100km
Not bad for an overloaded truck with a roof rack.
GVM for the GQ is rated at 2800kg but I reckon we must be close to 3500kg

That's about par for the course, 7 kms is average for the Nissan. Put it over a weighbridge before you unpack, you'll be surprised. (but don't tell your insurance company!)

No need to worry about the insurance company. We don't insure our vehicles! Just have to drive carefully
