New to Oziexplorer, I'm fumbling through the help menu but need assistance with:
I have a CD 250K Raster mosaic for use with Ozi. How do I copy this disc to hard drive and make all those maps available in the Ozi file menu? And do I need to calibrate these maps, as they are supposed to be for use with Ozi and are already an ECW format? Whatever that means?

G'day Desert. Make another directory under Oziexplorer /maps called Natmap 250K Mosaic 2003 CD2
Make sure you have the 250K ecw and mapdata text in there. Now for the easy bit, go to oziexplorer oz page and grab the calibration files (the "map" files) for your program. Its a self extractiong one from memory.
Just remember that every map you use in ozi needs two files , the graphics (ecw etc ) and the calibration "map" files to work.
Just checked my setup and thats what I did. Good luck.

I think I need more basic instructions, like how do I load the CD maps to the hard drive for a start. I find the lingo and terminology confusing, like "importing" maps, but I need step by step instructions on which to click on etc?

Then grab the map files off the oziexplorer page, run them. Then open oziexplorer and open map, got to where it is and voila :))

Desert
Had the same problem myself recently after having my laptop XP re-installed.
I asked Des at Ozi Explorer directly, and he sent me aprompt reply:
::This link describes how to use the Natmaps from a hard disk.

... if all else fails, contact the author!
Good luck
