Hi
Explorers
Has anyone had any expeirence with the Nylon sliders used under storage drawers in trailers etc?
I want to make a kitchen unit that slides out the back of the ute. I guess I'm looking at the same concept as the Drifter type unit, but maybe not removeable from the ute. Previously I used guide rails/tracks and wheels from a panel lift garage door but it adds some weight and a 40mm gap under the drawer that becomes almost unusable, (extra poles and not much else).
Anyone know where to get such a product?
Andy

Yes.
High Density Polyethylene. It's white, and is the same stuff as your cutting board at
home.
We use it at work regularly, for slides on jigs.
I have made boat slides for camper trailer roofs, and the kitchen in my Honda uses it as
well.
Available freely at plastics wholesalers. Cuts with woodworking tools.
Cheers

Not really.
This is the very same man, who is contemplating writing to a large South Australian
Bakery.
You see, here in South Australia, we have these neat little cakes, called frogs. They come in Chocolate, Lime & Strawberry. They are yummy..... but a little small.
I am going to write to them, and see if we can import a bit of Queensland into South Australia. I want them to make a big Caramel Cane Toad!!
Whaddya reckon?
Cheers
Wolfie

You'll also need to write to Farmers Union so the can upsize the iced coffee to go wth the new cane toads.
