Hi All,
Had a problem with the SK47 Supakool fridge, contacted the manufacturer Nexburg In Queensland, and they no longer have spares for them. So much for all their promises like " we will have spares for them in 20 years time " etc etc when we puchased it.
So if you have one look after it. Chow 4 now.

most of the stuff will be available ...any reputable fridgie could supply alternative components such a s compressor etc etc...
not like the energy hungry thing from Mt barker in SA....unless of course you buy one of their danfoss compressor models!!

Mine is an old SupaKool. Compressor stuffed up , and was replaced by EvaKool with a danfoss , and rebadged as an EvaKool.
I would talk to EvaKool about it.

Hi again
Thanks to all above, Supakool and Evakool are made by the same company, namely, Nexberg in Caloundra Queensland. As stated in my post # 24025 they no longer have spares. They can modify the unit to a current looking Evakool for a " COOL $825." What a joke.
Thanks to all above. P & J

Hi Flappa,
To fix myn would NOT cost $825, all I need is a PC board and the board the PC board sits on, and a cover that covers the Compressor unit.
So they want $825 to modify it. I will probably get a new one but not their brand. Once caught twice shy.

Oh, ok.
To modify it , I suspect they would add a Danfoss compressor with the new controls ????
You wouldn't buy another EvaKool ?

not sure what they would do for $825.
I was upset at the fact I was told I could get parts easily for many years and they stressed to me: that if the PC board failed they would post a new one to me anywhere in Aust free of charge. The fridge is in 9.5/10 condition except for some broken PLASTIC parts.
Will come across a second hand one oneday !!!

Dont bet on it . . .
Hens teeth are easier to find.
Maybe there is an easier work around.
Mine is the old , on/off , manual thermostat , fridge. No fancy lecky gizmos on
mine.
If the fridge is going fine , other then the PC board, maybe there is a way of converting it backwards.
I dont know IF its possible just a thought.
I'll try and have a look at
mine tonite , to see if there is a workaround.
