Was recently at the local Canberra Mistsubishi dealers experiencing once again the cost of genuine Pajero parts. The guy behind the counter, shaking his head at the costs (even at trade), mentioned that the prices were high becuse of the lack of sales volume. He said to watch out for Black Diamond brand products which were being aimed at bringing aftermarket items at more competitive prices. Anyone else know anything of this?

The prices have nothing to do with sales volume, have a look at Toyota's spares prices and they sell plenty of cars. They charge what they think the public will pay. Haven't hea d of Black diamond but they have Diamond spectrum which is Mitsubishi Australia's parts such as oil filters. They are considerably cheaper than the Japanese parts. The diamond spectrum stuff is generally made in Asia or Australia. What parts are you talking about specifically
