Did it last year with a Cavalier off road trailer, East to West
Let tyres down to 15 psi on L/cruiser and 10 psi on trailer.
No problems but it was in April before the track got chopped up by inconsiderate drivers with 35-40 psi in their tyres and gunning it up the dunes
Cheers

jordan, it is generally frowned on but some still do it and try to justify why on the basis of that because they did or can that anyone else should or can. Best to travel light if you can and keep trailers to made roads.

The light footed nature of our tripping is likely to extend the time available to others in the future, rather than have other interests close it down.

8psi for the trailer and 15psi for the truck. Don't rush the dunes. Put truck in 1st High Range at bottom of dune and idle it out.

Like has been said, "Justify it by saying that they did it so you can too." And
"Before it gets chopped up by inconsiderate drivers who don't drop pressures below 30-35 psi". Well could I add to that, "and Irresponsible people who, against the wishes of NPWS and locals, continue to destroy the track by towing trailers across."

Now I know that this will again inflame the arguement, but just because you disregarded the wishes of all who want the deasert to be open to all, and towed a trailer across "successfully", that doesn't make it right. If you had followed a group who were towing trailers across, you would know what I mean. Leave your trailers out of the Simpson Desert, PLEASE!

Happy trails, Mike.
