I finally bought an 80 series over the weekend.
Paid too much for it but got sick of looking.
I want to convert it to duel fuel asap.
Does anyone have any recommendations for where to get this done in
Brisbane? Preferably on the southside.
Thanks.

Do a google and you will come up with many
places. OR take a holiday into Vic. where it is a lot cheaper to get done, and they do a better job. Probably because every second petrol vehicle is duel fuel down there. See the mexicans do do something good! Oop's.

Yeah, google returned hundreds of results.
Rather than filter through all them I was hoping someone here could recommend someone they have had good experiences with.
I don't think I'll be heading to Vic any time soon. Especially in the middle of winter!

Get in touch with Ron at Torquegas at Caloundra (Ph 1800 801 120 ).
I was having trouble with my 80 series and he sorted it out ,
I got the recommendation from Cruiser, who had had a similar problem.
He fits them for about $2400, and based on what he did for me I would certainly
check him out.
His address isLot 8 Latcham Drive,Caloundra
check out this thread where I got the recommendation.

Thanks Pedro
I will give him a ring. A bit out of the way for me though, how long does it take to fit?

It will take a day to fit , but Ron will lend you a car so you can visit the area while he does the job.

Whoever fits the gas system make sure they install impco and not any simple mixer type system if they dont recommend impco keep clear as they most likely dont know how to set it up correctly.
Flexible line must also be used all the way from the tank as your 80 series has a seperate chassis rail and body.It should also be dynoed to ensure the fuel mixtures are correct you shouldnt be paying any extra for these
services as you wouldnt in VIC also ask for a dyno powere figure Impco gas should be within 4-5 kw of petrol output as this is what i usally get on most vehicles...
