Barrie
Got a mate with one of those and he swears by it, so I think you have made a good choice, but I will stick with my Bushranger
Cheers Poppy

Thomas Big Red does a good job
I have had mine for about 7 years - took it out of my original 4WD and fitted it to my 100S.
Occasional problem I have is that it overheats and cuts out. I usually throw a wet rag over it and keep it moist to cool it down. Has anyone had this problem ?

That's the difference between the Bigred and the Bluetounge, both are thomas compressors but the bluetounge has a fan cooled motor to prevent the over heating you talk about.

Good compressors though, Thomas make some of the best around.

Have you thought about hooking up a 12vdc high powered fan to blow through the vents onto the motor? Could solve the problem... Might be a little tricky to setup with positioning the fan etc, but might be worth a look. You can buy little fans from Jaycar, Dicksmith etc. Dicksmith do a 90mm 50CFM thats moves a far amount of air for bout $20.

Barrie,
Bought an Ox a few months back which is a Thomas pump as well, Big Reds "little" brother... takes 5 minutes per tyre to pump my 33's up from 18 to 40 psi... get's a little hot, not to cut-out point though... I am real happy with it. you'll have trouble free air for years!!
