Just wondering what sort of life people are getting out of their clutches in a RD28T GQ Patrol. Had no response from "another" forum. Hoping there's some 2.8 owners here.

Gday John, 130 000 k's so far with no worries, or burning smells. I obviously try to avoid fanning it as much as possible!

Thanks Andrew,
I've done 135000 and am heading off on a 1 month trip next year. Trying to decide whether to do anything beforehand or if people are getting closer to 200 I'll hold off.

The old man owned a RD28T, sold it with 160,000km's on the clock original clutch sill going strong.

I had to change the clutch in my 3 litre petrol GQ after 190,000km but I suspect the previous owner had been hard on the clutch. I was towing a one tonne trailer at the time it failed - had to drive another 200km without a clutch - stopping for petrol was the fun bit.

Thanks for the resonse all.
Now that I have a false sense of security, I'll take Truckster's advice and "touch wood", and hold off on the clutch replacement. After all, it is a Nissan.
