Hi peter,
hope all is ok.
In Redland bay area we have had approx 300mm rain.
Our
dam was looking good until the wall broke, and lost half the water. Back to the drawing board

Tony,
Jump on the ferry to Nth Straddie - there are (or were last time I was there) fresh water creek crossings between Flinders beach and the scub - do yo know them?
That's where I thought your photo was taken .

Went up and down the coast today, about 400k's, saw 6 cars in the ditch in the middle of the highway during one of the many torrential downpours...Drive safe!!!

Anyone considered contacting the SES to see if you could give a hand extracting flooded cars (for large 4WD owners mainly) or assist with winching trees and other
debris off roads? Most 4WDers have recovery skills and equipment that could be very useful to the community right now.
This is an excellent opportunity for the 4WD movement to show what we are really made of, and it would do our image with the public absolutely no harm whatsoever. Perhaps a phonecall to the Qld 4WD Associiation to enquire about an "official offer of assistance" to the SES could be organised (followed by a phonecall to Today Tonight/ACA???).

It's more fun on the G Coast with a cyclone. Remember in the late 60s and early 70s, 6m to 8m metre waves coming up tallebudgera creek and the top of the wave lapping over the road
bridge!
Whats the crab
farm out of Labrador like? A metre of water there yet? Remember it being closed for days at a time.
74 floods were good fun too.
See, you can't beat memories, the fish were bigger too :-). Thaaaaaaaat big.
