I just replaced the original set on mine with Cooper ATR's, so far, so good. Were about $50 a tyre less than BFG All terrains in same size. Tyre guy said the BFG's are probably the better tyre off road (marginally) although, he did tell me, for lower pressure work, like soft sand, the ATR's are better. Apparently, there have been just a few cases of the BFG's tearing the sidewall when under heavy throttle, when geting out of very deep soft sand, onto a ramp. He did say it was not common, but had heard of a few cases. ATR's a little better on highway. Wear is porbably similar. BFG's maybe more
puncture resistant. I do mostly highway and beach work, with a fair lot of dirt roads and national parks, so the ATR's suited me fine, especially with $250 difference over the 5 tyres !!! Will certainly be better than the original rubber, either way !
