Well it has been raining here at the canyon all day today and it does not appear to be slowing down at all.

I have been here eight months and this is the most substantial bit of rain in that time.

There are waterfalls coming from the canyon and Kings Creek is flowing. There is about 20mm of water crossing Luritja Road flowing at a fair rate where the creek crosses the road.

I would imagine that the Mereenie Loop Road and the Giles Road would be pretty boggy at the moment though I haven't heard.

Regards to all

Great to hear of rain in the canyon was there some years ago but very dry hard to imagine it wet.But in contrast was at ayres rock and it had water falls running of it quite a sight to see and also sighted it shrouded in cloud quite a sight also.

we were there in May and it was very dry. Even the gums in the gorge looked pretty stressed. I'd love to see the water running through the gorge and over the falls.
Its one of my favourite places - despite all the tourists.
Last year we lashed out and stayed in a "Spa Suite". Very nice.
