I think and don’t quote me on this but the only options you have is the 100s Base modal/ Poverty pack or the GXL both with the Naturally aspirated Diesel’s and Manuel gearbox box. But you can always put an aftermarket turbo on it to give it some respectable Pro-Formance.

You'll get a 100 series with live axle (no IFS) from 98 until the V8 came onto the market

Steve and pjd,

Live axle models still available today but only in naturally aspirated diesel.
They are the trusted 1hz motor still.

Regards Trevor.

think the V8 came out in 02/03 not sure. Stick around somebody'll put you right. Or Google for V8 Cruiser reviews and that should reveal all. Diesels are quite a bit dearer. Depends on what you wanna use it for. I have a 98 live axle with lpg/petrol

The RFA (rigid front axle) models have the "105series" designation, rather than "100series", so what you are after is a HZJ105 model, all of which had the 1HZzzzzz normally aspirated diesel.

The barn door model HZJ105 ran from 1998 and are still available new.
The GXL HZJ105 had RFA up until about 2003.

The Factory Turbo motor (1HD-FTE) did not come in the 105series. If you want the beautiful combination of the factory TD motor and RFA, then your only option is the post 2002 HDJ78/79series Troopie/traytop, or drop back to the 80series.

Cheers
Phil

According to Toyota website GXL RFA is still available, I think it was manual only though.

Hi Peter,

I'll stand corrected. I also looked up redbook, and like you say, it appears the HZJ105 GXL is still available . They must be selling very few of them though.

Cheers
Phil
