I have a 1991 100 Series L/C RV Diesel with live front axle.
I have been looking at buying a second hand Kaymar twin pivot rear step tow bar, it has come from a 1998 GXL which I presume would have had IFS. Looking in ARB price list for Kaymar products, they list a different part number for IFS or Live Axle.
Does anyone know what the difference would be and would it fit a live front axle?

100 series never came out until 1998.
If yours is live axle and the one for sale is live axle it should fit.
Presuming yours is 2001 100 series.
If yours is 1991 its an 80 series and the rear bar WON'T fit.

I can't see why it won't fit.
Same body as a GXL except the RV runs skinnier wheels, vinyl door trims and manual windows.
I would say you are pretty safe in the purchase.

Just bought a 2nd hand wheel carrier myself of ebay, as for wheel carriers the difference between live axle and independant front ends on the 100 series is that the chasis is a different width and as the wheel carriers bolt on the chasis, one from a live axle won't fit an independant.
Good luck with it.

TG, I concur with Ozzy. I have a 2001 std, Live front end. Was told by the wrecker selling rear bar (WASNT a kaymar though) that it would fit. I was a bit dubious, so I said I'd take it if we could fit it there and then... It didn't fit - chassis rails WAY off being same width. Wrecker suggested angle grinder/sledge hammer/ oxy will make it fit.... That's why they call him a wrecker i guess!!!
My search still continues. I refuse to pay over $2 k for a bit of nicely bent up steel...

Jarrod.
