You can give Castlemaine Rod Shop a try. Don't know if they can help but worth a call.

Here is the link text to their web site.

try www.outerlimits4x4.com
theres plenty of people doing lexus conversions on different trucks, and few business' on there that are doing them also.

Luxs and GQs seem to be common.

Certainly a nice engine but I would think you will end up chasing your tail forever attempting a conversion like that. What makes you choose the 470 and how much can you pick them up for 2nd hand..?

Been done a few times with almost all makes...the best I have seen is QLD RV6 Forunner now a RV8!!

The lexus is the 1UZ-FE and its a 4.0 quad-cam that Toyota stroked and fitted into the Cruisers. Unless you want to chase around the wreckers for a wrecked Lexus 470 most people source the imported motor from the Soaror or Cressida for around $1500-2500.

The conversion mob in Brissy Villan Eng will adapt the wiring looms and make up the necessary hardware for most of the conversion \but I doubt they will have things like engine mounts etc for a 60. You might have to do that part yourself with the help on an engineer!!

Goodluck, not sure how the power to weight ratio will go with the stock 4l, but they are very under tuned and MASSIVE results are possible the more money you throw at it!!

Do a Google search and there are whole forums on the 1uz fe motor and also look here Lexus Forum

Dellow do kits to drop them into hiluxes and i think they have a cruiser kit as well.

awesome engine, if keeping the factory computer there is a bit of stuffing around if you dont use the lexus auto on the back of the engine, as the ecu needs speed inputs etc. But its nothing that cant be overcome.
